Our Story

Shirin Movahed Rakocevic is a business graduate who pursued a career in law, working with Fortune 500 companies in various roles at several national and international firms. After gaining valuable experience in the legal field, Shirin started her own law practice with a focus on assisting start-ups and emerging brands in building a successful framework for the growth and success of their businesses.

As a seasoned business advisor and lawyer, Shirin understands the unique challenges faced by small or growing businesses and entrepreneurs. She leverages her expertise to provide strategic advice and guidance to her clients, helping them navigate the complexities of starting and growing a business. Shirin's practice is focused on providing legal and business advice, including corporate structuring, contract drafting and negotiation, mergers and acquisitions, and risk management.

In addition to her legal practice, Shirin also runs an advisory firm that helps businesses build, grow, and create strategic partnerships with other businesses and investors. Her firm provides customized solutions to businesses of all sizes and industries, leveraging her extensive network and expertise to connect businesses with the right partners and funding sources to support their growth plans.

Through her legal and advisory work, Shirin is committed to helping businesses achieve their full potential and thrive in their respective industries. She brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and strategic thinking to her clients, helping them overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.

Aside from her working in her businesses, Shirin’s passion for educating and empowering her community has led her to serve as a board member to several private companies and organizations as well as an advisor to start up incubators and accelerators. Shirin also continues to lecture at universities, cultural institutions, trade associations and offers webinars on various legal topics in the areas of business, branding, NFTs, asset protection and succession planning.

While her biggest accomplishment is becoming a mom to her two little girls, Shirin has also earned several accolades in her profession which include being selected by Thomson Reuters® as a New York Super Lawyer Rising Star and peer ranked in the top 5% of female lawyers in New York from 2016 through present, as well as being the recipient of the Mayoral Light Awards from the Mayor of Hoboken, New Jersey, and the Mayor of South Hamptons, New York, in recognition of her dedicated service in those communities.
